Choose your domain name

For your domain name, you can use a variation of your own name, your company's name, or any other word. You'll need to check with the domain registrar on how much it costs to purchase the rights for that domain.

Purchase web hosting

Once you decide on your domain, it's time to buy web hosting. Web hosting services are designed to store and provide your website with data like scripts, photos, and files. Hosting is typically done through a 3rd party provider such as GoDaddy or DigitalOcean etc... . All you need is the name of your site and contact information so they can reach you if there's an issue. You'll also be asked for payment information at this point; most hosts accept credit cards. You'll receive an email from the host that contains login credentials for managing your account (and later for logging into your new site).
